Tabetha's Table (tabethastable.com) is run by me, Tabetha Klein. This page explains, in plain English, what information is collected when you visit, why, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email me at [email protected].
Information you give me
Email signups. When you sign up for Table Notes, a free printable, or a recipe card, I collect your email address (and your first name if you choose to share it). My email list is hosted by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), and some signup forms on this site are provided by Grow by Mediavine, which passes your email to Kit. I use your email only to send you what you signed up for and occasional recipes and updates from Tabetha's Table. I never sell your email address. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave anytime.
Purchases. If you buy a digital product, like The KitchenAid Ice Cream Book, checkout is handled by Kit Commerce and its payment processor. I receive your name, email and order details so I can deliver your purchase. I never see or store your full card number.
Comments and ratings. When you leave a comment or recipe rating, the site collects what you type in the form, plus your IP address and browser details to help catch spam. An anonymized version of your email (a "hash") may be checked against the Gravatar service to show your profile picture. Gravatar's privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy. Comments and their details are kept so follow-up comments can be approved automatically.
Emails you send me. If you email me, I keep the conversation so I can reply and help.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. I use Google Analytics to understand which recipes people read and how they find the site. It collects information like pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, and general location (city or region, not your address). Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising. Ads on this site are managed by Mediavine, which keeps the recipes free. Mediavine and its advertising partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to show ads, measure how they perform, and (depending on your settings and where you live) show ads based on your interests. You can read how this works, and your choices, in Mediavine's privacy policy. You can also opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative. If you are in a region that offers privacy choices (like California or the EU), a privacy settings or "Do Not Sell or Share" option is shown on the site.
Grow by Mediavine. Grow powers features like saving favorite recipes and some signup forms. If you create a Grow account or use those features, Grow's own terms and privacy policy apply.
Cookies. Besides the analytics and advertising cookies above, the site may set cookies that remember your comment details (if you tick that box) and keep the site working normally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work quite right without them.

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including as an Amazon Associate. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click one, the retailer may set a cookie so I earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. Embedded content
Posts may include embedded content like YouTube videos or Pinterest and Instagram posts. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited that other site, and those companies may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
Children
This site is written for adults. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email me and I'll remove it.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask me what personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
- Manage advertising choices through the privacy settings on the site or the opt-out links above.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, other U.S. states, or the EU/UK), you may have additional privacy rights. I'll honor those requests as the law requires.
How long information is kept
Email subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Comments are kept while they're published. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to Google's and Mediavine's own retention policies.
