Good food is for everyone, and so is this site. Tabetha's Table is committed to making its recipes and content accessible to people of all abilities, and to continually improving the experience for visitors who use assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
What we do
The site is built on a theme designed with accessibility in mind and is reviewed on an ongoing basis. Measures include descriptive alternative text on recipe photos, a logical heading structure on every page, keyboard-navigable menus and recipe cards, sufficient color contrast for text and links, underlined links so they aren't identified by color alone, resizable text, a "Cook Mode" that keeps your screen awake while cooking, and a print-friendly version of every recipe.
Known limitations
Some older posts may have images with incomplete alternative text or embedded videos without captions; we are working through the archive to fix these. Advertisements and some third-party embeds (video players, email sign-up forms) are provided by outside services and may not fully meet our standards. If any of these get in the way of what you came here to do, let us know and we'll help you get to the recipe.
Tell us if something isn't working
If you have trouble accessing any part of this site, please contact us and include the page address and a description of the problem. We'll do our best to respond within five business days and to provide the information you need in an alternative format in the meantime.
